The remainder has now become zero, so our procedure stops. Since the divisor at this stage is 1, the HCF of 759 and 991 is 1
Notice that 1 = HCF(2,1) = HCF(3,2) = HCF(20,3) = HCF(43,20) = HCF(63,43) = HCF(232,63) = HCF(759,232) = HCF(991,759) .
