43 = 15 x 2 + 13

13 = 2 x 6 + 1
We consider the new divisor 2 and the new remainder 1,and apply the division lemma to get

The remainder has now become zero, so our procedure stops. Since the divisor at this stage is 1, the HCF of 101 and 447 is 1
Notice that 1 = HCF(2,1) = HCF(13,2) = HCF(15,13) = HCF(43,15) = HCF(101,43) = HCF(447,101) .
We can take hcf of as 1st numbers and next number as another number to apply in Euclidean lemma
Step 1: Since 724 > 1, we apply the division lemma to 724 and 1, to get
724 = 1 x 724 + 0
The remainder has now become zero, so our procedure stops. Since the divisor at this stage is 1, the HCF of 1 and 724 is 1
Notice that 1 = HCF(724,1) .
We can take hcf of as 1st numbers and next number as another number to apply in Euclidean lemma
Step 1: Since 369 > 1, we apply the division lemma to 369 and 1, to get
369 = 1 x 369 + 0
The remainder has now become zero, so our procedure stops. Since the divisor at this stage is 1, the HCF of 1 and 369 is 1
