72 = 4 x 18 + 0
The remainder has now become zero, so our procedure stops. Since the divisor at this stage is 4, the HCF of 1380 and 3704 is 4
Notice that 4 = HCF(72,4) = HCF(436,72) = HCF(944,436) = HCF(1380,944) = HCF(3704,1380) .
