The remainder has now become zero, so our procedure stops. Since the divisor at this stage is 5, the HCF of 1655 and 1815 is 5
Notice that 5 = HCF(50,5) = HCF(55,50) = HCF(160,55) = HCF(1655,160) = HCF(1815,1655) .
