The remainder has now become zero, so our procedure stops. Since the divisor at this stage is 1, the HCF of 371 and 664 is 1
Notice that 1 = HCF(2,1) = HCF(19,2) = HCF(59,19) = HCF(78,59) = HCF(293,78) = HCF(371,293) = HCF(664,371) .
We can take hcf of as 1st numbers and next number as another number to apply in Euclidean lemma
Step 1: Since 780 > 1, we apply the division lemma to 780 and 1, to get
780 = 1 x 780 + 0
The remainder has now become zero, so our procedure stops. Since the divisor at this stage is 1, the HCF of 1 and 780 is 1
