The remainder has now become zero, so our procedure stops. Since the divisor at this stage is 4, the HCF of 408 and 652 is 4
Notice that 4 = HCF(80,4) = HCF(164,80) = HCF(244,164) = HCF(408,244) = HCF(652,408) .
We can take hcf of as 1st numbers and next number as another number to apply in Euclidean lemma

731 = 4 x 182 + 3
Step 2: Since the reminder 4 ≠ 0, we apply division lemma to 3 and 4, to get
4 = 3 x 1 + 1

The remainder has now become zero, so our procedure stops. Since the divisor at this stage is 1, the HCF of 4 and 731 is 1
