The remainder has now become zero, so our procedure stops. Since the divisor at this stage is 2, the HCF of 484 and 850 is 2
Notice that 2 = HCF(10,2) = HCF(12,10) = HCF(118,12) = HCF(366,118) = HCF(484,366) = HCF(850,484) .
We can take hcf of as 1st numbers and next number as another number to apply in Euclidean lemma
Step 1: Since 105 > 2, we apply the division lemma to 105 and 2, to get
105 = 2 x 52 + 1
Step 2: Since the reminder 2 ≠ 0, we apply division lemma to 1 and 2, to get
2 = 1 x 2 + 0
The remainder has now become zero, so our procedure stops. Since the divisor at this stage is 1, the HCF of 2 and 105 is 1
