15 = 4 x 3 + 3
We consider the new divisor 4 and the new remainder 3,and apply the division lemma to get

3 = 1 x 3 + 0
The remainder has now become zero, so our procedure stops. Since the divisor at this stage is 1, the HCF of 49 and 64 is 1
Notice that 1 = HCF(3,1) = HCF(4,3) = HCF(15,4) = HCF(49,15) = HCF(64,49) .
We can take hcf of as 1st numbers and next number as another number to apply in Euclidean lemma
Step 1: Since 52 > 1, we apply the division lemma to 52 and 1, to get
52 = 1 x 52 + 0
The remainder has now become zero, so our procedure stops. Since the divisor at this stage is 1, the HCF of 1 and 52 is 1

We can take hcf of as 1st numbers and next number as another number to apply in Euclidean lemma
Step 1: Since 657 > 1, we apply the division lemma to 657 and 1, to get
657 = 1 x 657 + 0
The remainder has now become zero, so our procedure stops. Since the divisor at this stage is 1, the HCF of 1 and 657 is 1
