53 = 52 x 1 + 1
Step 2: Since the reminder 52 ≠ 0, we apply division lemma to 1 and 52, to get
52 = 1 x 52 + 0
The remainder has now become zero, so our procedure stops. Since the divisor at this stage is 1, the HCF of 52 and 53 is 1
Notice that 1 = HCF(52,1) = HCF(53,52) .
We can take hcf of as 1st numbers and next number as another number to apply in Euclidean lemma
Step 1: Since 70 > 1, we apply the division lemma to 70 and 1, to get
70 = 1 x 70 + 0
The remainder has now become zero, so our procedure stops. Since the divisor at this stage is 1, the HCF of 1 and 70 is 1
Notice that 1 = HCF(70,1) .
We can take hcf of as 1st numbers and next number as another number to apply in Euclidean lemma
Step 1: Since 13 > 1, we apply the division lemma to 13 and 1, to get
13 = 1 x 13 + 0
The remainder has now become zero, so our procedure stops. Since the divisor at this stage is 1, the HCF of 1 and 13 is 1
