The remainder has now become zero, so our procedure stops. Since the divisor at this stage is 1, the HCF of 527 and 912 is 1
Notice that 1 = HCF(3,1) = HCF(19,3) = HCF(41,19) = HCF(101,41) = HCF(142,101) = HCF(385,142) = HCF(527,385) = HCF(912,527) .
