147 = 14 x 10 + 7
We consider the new divisor 14 and the new remainder 7, and apply the division lemma to get

The remainder has now become zero, so our procedure stops. Since the divisor at this stage is 7, the HCF of 602 and 749 is 7
Notice that 7 = HCF(14,7) = HCF(147,14) = HCF(602,147) = HCF(749,602) .
We can take hcf of as 1st numbers and next number as another number to apply in Euclidean lemma
Step 1: Since 941 > 7, we apply the division lemma to 941 and 7, to get
941 = 7 x 134 + 3
Step 2: Since the reminder 7 ≠ 0, we apply division lemma to 3 and 7, to get
7 = 3 x 2 + 1
Step 3: We consider the new divisor 3 and the new remainder 1, and apply the division lemma to get
3 = 1 x 3 + 0
The remainder has now become zero, so our procedure stops. Since the divisor at this stage is 1, the HCF of 7 and 941 is 1
Notice that 1 = HCF(3,1) = HCF(7,3) = HCF(941,7) .
We can take hcf of as 1st numbers and next number as another number to apply in Euclidean lemma
Step 1: Since 33 > 1, we apply the division lemma to 33 and 1, to get
33 = 1 x 33 + 0
The remainder has now become zero, so our procedure stops. Since the divisor at this stage is 1, the HCF of 1 and 33 is 1
