The remainder has now become zero, so our procedure stops. Since the divisor at this stage is 2, the HCF of 806 and 912 is 2
Notice that 2 = HCF(20,2) = HCF(22,20) = HCF(42,22) = HCF(64,42) = HCF(106,64) = HCF(806,106) = HCF(912,806) .
We can take hcf of as 1st numbers and next number as another number to apply in Euclidean lemma
Step 1: Since 599 > 2, we apply the division lemma to 599 and 2, to get
599 = 2 x 299 + 1
Step 2: Since the reminder 2 ≠ 0, we apply division lemma to 1 and 2, to get
2 = 1 x 2 + 0
The remainder has now become zero, so our procedure stops. Since the divisor at this stage is 1, the HCF of 2 and 599 is 1
Notice that 1 = HCF(2,1) = HCF(599,2) .
We can take hcf of as 1st numbers and next number as another number to apply in Euclidean lemma

920 = 1 x 920 + 0
