The remainder has now become zero, so our procedure stops. Since the divisor at this stage is 20, the HCF of 900 and 380 is 20
Notice that 20 = HCF(40,20) = HCF(100,40) = HCF(140,100) = HCF(380,140) = HCF(900,380) .
We can take hcf of as 1st numbers and next number as another number to apply in Euclidean lemma
Step 1: Since 966 > 20, we apply the division lemma to 966 and 20, to get
966 = 20 x 48 + 6
Step 2: Since the reminder 20 ≠ 0, we apply division lemma to 6 and 20, to get
20 = 6 x 3 + 2

The remainder has now become zero, so our procedure stops. Since the divisor at this stage is 2, the HCF of 20 and 966 is 2
