The remainder has now become zero, so our procedure stops. Since the divisor at this stage is 1, the HCF of 904 and 591 is 1
Notice that 1 = HCF(2,1) = HCF(33,2) = HCF(35,33) = HCF(278,35) = HCF(313,278) = HCF(591,313) = HCF(904,591) .
