The remainder has now become zero, so our procedure stops. Since the divisor at this stage is 1, the HCF of 905 and 252 is 1
Notice that 1 = HCF(2,1) = HCF(11,2) = HCF(46,11) = HCF(103,46) = HCF(149,103) = HCF(252,149) = HCF(905,252) .
