LCM of decimals calculator gives the LCM of Decimal numbers given 0.4, 0.2, 0.5, 0.141 i.e. 282 the smallest number that divides all of them exactly.
Least Common Multiple (LCM) of 0.4, 0.2, 0.5, 0.141 is 282.
LCM(0.4, 0.2, 0.5, 0.141) = 282
Enter two or more decimals separated by "commas"
Ex: 0.2, 0.3 or 0.4, 0.5, 0.6
Given numbers are 0.4,0.2,0.5,0.141. The highest number of digits after the decimal point in the given case is 3
Thus, in order to get rid of the decimal point we need to multiply them with 1000. On doing so, they are as follows
0.4 x 1000 = 400
0.2 x 1000 = 200
0.5 x 1000 = 500
0.141 x 1000 = 141
On finding the LCM of 400,200,500,141 we get the Least Common Multiple as 282000
2 | 400, 200, 500, 141 |
2 | 200, 100, 250, 141 |
2 | 50, 100, 125, 141 |
5 | 25, 50, 125, 141 |
5 | 5, 10, 25, 141 |
1, 2, 5, 141 |
∴ So the LCM of the given numbers is 2 x 2 x 2 x 5 x 5 x 1 x 2 x 5 x 141 = 282000
Divide the result you got with the number you multiplied to make it as integer in the first step. In this case, we need to divide by 1000 as we used it to make the given numbers into integers.
On dividing the LCM 282000/1000 we get 282
Thus the Least Common Multiple of 0.4,0.2,0.5,0.141 is 282
The formula of LCM is LCM(a1,a2,a3....,an) = ( a1 × a2 × a3 × .... × an) / GCF(a1,a2,a3....,an) x common factors(if more than 2 numbers have common factors).
We need to calculate greatest common factor of 400,200,500,141 and common factors if more than two numbers have common factor, than apply into the LCM equation.
GCF(400,200,500,141) = 1
common factors(in case of two or more numbers have common factors) = 20000
GCF(400,200,500,141) x common factors =1 x 20000 = 20000
LCM(400,200,500,141) = ( 400 × 200 × 500 × 141 ) / 20000
LCM(400,200,500,141) = 5640000000 / 20000
LCM(400,200,500,141) = 282000
Here are some samples of LCM of Decimals calculations.
1. What is the LCM of 0.4, 0.2, 0.5, 0.141?
Answer: LCM of 0.4, 0.2, 0.5, 0.141 is 282.
2. How to Find the LCM of 0.4, 0.2, 0.5, 0.141?
Answer: Least Common Factor(LCM) of 0.4, 0.2, 0.5, 0.141 = 282
Step 1: First calculate the highest decimal number after decimal point.
Step 2: Then multiply all numbers with 1000.
Step 3: Then find LCM of 400,200,500,141. After getting LCM devide the result with 1000 the value that is previously multiplied.
So LCM(0.4, 0.2, 0.5, 0.141) = 282.
